JOB PURPOSE

We are creating a new luxury brand – a fleet of luxury ships that are currently in construction phase and set sail in 2023. To support the launch of the Brand we are looking for a Shore Experiences Lead to be based in Geneva.

The role is for a passionate travel professional that possesses excellent knowledge of geography, world history and cultures, as the position will oversees all aspects of tour development programs in worldwide destinations.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

•Engages in tour selection process provided through competitive bids from Tour Operators and Ground Handling including negotiation and contracting;

•Provides constant Land programs input, training, and information (FAQs) to IT, Marketing and Sales to ensure strong understanding for the migration of systems (Versonix, Website) and support;

•Develops strong luxury tour program and guarantees the quality assurance of these tour programs – detailed description of deliverables for Tour Operators & DMCs, and performs site inspections in areas of responsibility;

•Develops “Shore Experience Companionship” programme;

•Sets up new policies and Standards Operational Procedures;

•Identifies threats and consumer trends within the assigned geographical region and proposes appropriate actions plan, develops new tours adapted to the requirements of our luxury guests;

•Ensures and maximizes productivity (inventory, revenue, profit).

QUALIFICATIONS (skills, competencies, experience)

•At least 10 years of experience in a similar capacity within a shore excursion department /onboard of a cruise ship;

•A minimum of 5 years of management experience; 

•Experience with budget preparation and basic accounting knowledge;

•Masters Microsoft excel, word and powerpoint;

•Knowledge of Seaware/Versonix or similar is preferred;

•Profiency in English is required, and French/Italian/German are also preferred.
